Whether kinky, curly, wavy, or straight, how I wear my hair is not up for debate, As my hair reflects, in part, who I am, Something many do not understand. My ancestry is buried deep in its roots, Its diverse texture reveals hidden truth, But what lies beneath this luscious mane, Is a creative mind with goals to attain. I am committed to remain true to myself, And not be defined by anyone else, But let me make this fact very clear; I'm so much more than my hair.
